The Priddy Music Difference

Since 2000,  Priddy Music Academy in Millersville, Maryland, has been more than just any ordinary music school. We have taken students beyond fundamentals, while gaining wisdom from working with efficient and attentive teachers that encourage confidence in being part of a musical community. We have gone from “The Place for Guitar” to “The Place for Bands,” and now, “The Place for Guitar, Bass, Piano, and Voice.” We have the finest instructors Maryland has to offer, many of whom are household names.

If you have a young musician in your home, chances are you have spent some time trying to force them to practice.  Over and over again our parents tell us this is what makes Priddy Music Academy stand out.  Our students love to practice.  Because they are working with a band they grow to love and respect, and because they are picking the music they will play on stage, they are excited to hone their skills on their instrument.  Many of our students love practicing so much they ask to pick up a second and sometimes even a third instrument.

Priddy Music Academy has been featured in The Capital, Maryland Gazette, and Severna Park Voice for our innovative approach to forming, teaching, and producing student rock bands. Our scheduling is flexible and our fees are reasonable. We teach all levels.  Whether you or your child are an absolute beginner or you are a professional musician who needs to sharpen your technique or theory, we help you progress faster.

We have a low turn-over rate for our teachers, Our teachers are professional musicians. We even are proud to have on staff teachers who have trained or been a part of national TV competitions.
