What is Rock Band Camp?
A week long rock out adventure where campers will jam with fellow rockers, build and fine tune their musical skills, while discovering new artists and songs in a creative, safe and energetic environment. Kids will learn how to play in a band, working as a team; building communication, actively listening to other band members, all while encouraging positive attitudes. It culminates in an end-of the week live concert for friends and family! Our campers will take with them new skills, confidence and most of all memories and friends to last a lifetime!
Our Rock Band Camps challenge young musicians to step outside of their comfort zones in a safe, encouraging environment. Campers gain precious skills and confidence as vocalists, guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, drummers. It allows campers to focus on one instrument, several instruments, or even be the front man of the band for the week.
Our summer camps have between 12-15 children per week with a ratio of one camp counselor to each 3 children, so that they are able to have individualized attention for each instrument/voice they choose to learn for that week. They may choose multiple instruments for different songs as well, making experimenting with a new instrument fun and exciting without having to commit to it.
The campers are put into bands for the week based on skill and age and learn anywhere from 2-5 songs (that they get to choose) and then perform at the end of the week at a Priddy Music venue for family and friends to see. The campers have many opportunities to bond with each other and our goal is for them to have fun and learn music in a safe, welcoming, community/family environment.
We also provide a Pizza Party on Friday’s of each week. Each day campers are asked to bring their instrument, lunch, snack, water and hearing protection (we have disposable extras if needed).
